At the 75th Norton Family reunion, we counted
at lest 7 living family members who were in the original picture above. They are James Norton,
Norman Norton, Clarence Norton, Ellsworth Norton Sr, Avis Embt (Merrill) Doris Norton (Lewis) and Evelyn Norton Bigelow.

It's officially now a part
of the Norton family history: On August 12-13, 2006, Norton descendents from of Tischner (1801-1883) & Nancy Ball Norton
(1810-1907) gathered to celebrate the 75th Norton reunion in the Bethany, New York area. That same week, my brother, David Norton and I went on a Norton ancestor "odyssey"
to Guilford, CT and retraced the Norton ancestor journey back up thru Old Saybrook, Old Lyme, Durham and Goshen, CT then to
Bethany, NY. This August 9th, 2009
the Norton Family will again gather to celebrate it's 78th reunion.

We have been gathering all the family photos
and memorabilia and scanning them for several years now. The Norton Family Image library now has over 4000 images and of course,
would love to include yours. Please contact me if you are a branch of this tree or your
Norton family goes back to Thomas Norton's of Saybrook and Guilford, CT
beginning in 1639 and we related a bit further back. It's also a pleasure to hear from other family members,
especially those on other branches. We have our history researched and use Family Tree Maker software to keep it current.
We are always willing to collaborate and chat.

If you are
a descendent from this line, you are invited to become a member of either DAR or SAR. It is fairly easy if you want
to link to existing appproved members. I am happy to assist you in the preparation of your papers. You must prove
lineage to a supporter of the America Revolution. The supporting documents are birth records, death records, mrriage
certificates, census records and anything else that will link you to one of several ancestors in our family. Most have
linked back to Nathan Norton and his wife, Experience Howe but there are others. In doing the Norton
family research, I have amazing documents. Come join the Daughters and Sons (and even Children) of the American Revolution
and celebrate your heritage as a Norton!
